Hanging with Friends & Family

Summer is flying by and we've been keeping busy with visits from friends and family. Last week, Grandma and Grandpa Beckham came to visit all the way from Tennessee! The boys just adore them and we had a great time catching up.

One day we took Grandma and Grandpa to see Mommy and Sam's school.

At night we went to Sam's T-Ball game

Then on Saturday, I had another garage sale with Cory. We had one the weekend before and decided to go for it again! Glad we did because we both made a few more bucks and her girls and my boys had a blast hanging out again.

It was a great day...the kids played hard, the daddy's fished all afternoon, the mama's made some dinero, and we finished the day with a cookout and the kids had a pre-4th of July celebration with sparklers...

Today we got to see Mya and Owen! They are back from California and came over to play all morning. Sam has been looking forward to this for days... he just loves his cousin Mya. Carter & Owen played great together too and by the end of their visit, Carter was calling Owen... "O!"

Welcome back guys!

Happy Father's Day

Today I am feeling very blessed. God has placed so many amazing men in my life and the lives of my boys, so on this day when we honor fathers, I want them to know how much I love and appreciate each one of them...

Summer!

School is done! Summer has begun!
Technically last Friday was the last day of school, but I felt like summer really began Memorial Day weekend. It was such a fabulous and warm weekend and we enjoyed 4 full days at Silver Lake with my parents. I can't remember it ever being that warm before and we even went swimming in the lake several times. The boys had so much fun and Daddy and Papa had lots of fishing time and caught tons of fish.

The last week of school was kind of slow for me because most of my 5th graders were at camp. So on Wednesday, I headed up to Camp Pendalouan to hang out with some of my favorite people and even got to try out the high ropes. So fun!

Yup, that's me bravin' the high ropes course.

Then on Thursday Sam officially "graduated" from kindergarten. I can't believe he's going to be in 1st grade next year. So bittersweet, but I'm so proud of him and all that he's learned and accomplished this year!

On Friday, my 5th graders graduated... it was a really special ceremony and I'm so proud of these kids. Here's a few pictures of the rest of my kids that I didn't photograph at camp.

Lastly, on Saturday Sam participated in the Little People's Olympics. He was in the 5-6 year old age group and "competed" in the standing long jump, softball throw, soccer kick, and the 40 & 60 yard dash. It was a fun experience for Sam and he did very well in all events (not that we were keeping track or anything!). His father and Grandpa Ron were a bit more intense than he was...poor kid has some serious competitive genes coming at him from BOTH sides of the family.

Unfortunately, the battery in my camera died so I didn't get very many pics. (See, I am a Kleinsheksel after all! Grandpa Rudy's camera dies at EVERY family function!)

Here's to a GREAT summer! And many more posts to come!
