Happy Easter!

This morning, Sam and I made Easter eggs with funny faces, so of course, Sam has been running around since then making his own funny faces. We made a few more eggs, but Sam got a little too rough with them and so...we ate them!
Another pics from early this morning. Sam and his "pet" giraffe named Cole. He insisted that I take this picture to show how carefully he was holding his pet. Apparently he is practicing for when his new baby brother arrives. Yesterday he felt him kick for the first time and it was a precious moment...his face lit up and he was sure that his little bro was aready trying to play games with him. :)

22 Weeks

Well, I'm definitely hoping to enjoy the last 2 weeks of my second trimester. The first trimester I was pretty much nauseous the whole time and so far the entire second trimester has been one nasty sinus infection/cold after another. A couple of weeks ago I came down with the flu (not the puking kind) and that really knocked me out for over a week. So...for the last 6 days, I have been feeling really good (keeping my fingers crossed!) I had back pain for about a week, but that too has subsided and I'm just enjoying all movement I've been feeling...I think I've got another active little boy growing inside me. Brian felt him kick for the first time yesterday and that was a cool moment. This little guy is sitting up much higher than I remember with Sam and I feel like my internal organs are now lodged under my ribcage. It makes sitting kind of uncomfortable and hard to breath at times, but overall things are going well right now. I even went outside and raked yesterday! The weather was beautiful and I was so anxious to get outside and do something. I looked like a total girl trying to rake...I pride myself on being able to do some serious yard work/landscaping on a normal basis, but yesterday I was just putsing (?) along barely moving the rake. It was just so wonderful to be outside!

Thanks Aunt JoJo

As everyone knows, Sam is obsessed with Thomas the Train. Last week, Sam received a package in the mail from Aunt JoJo with a whole new set of tracks with cool bridges and more wooden trains. Thank you to Collin and Ethan, the previous owners of the train stuff, for donating these cool items to Sam. He just about passed out from excitement when he opened the box and since then, he has been busy building tracks ALL OVER our house. Here is an example of his excellent work...we did not help him at all! I think I've got a little engineer on my hands!

Imagination Gone Wild

This picture shows Sam sound asleep in his bed with several of his many stuffed animals. Everynight he lines them all up in his bed and it's quite a sight to see. He affectionately calls his animals "my pets" and has named almost all of them (Jonah, Quacklyn, Cole, Smunky Monkey, and Feefpipe...I have no idea where he gets the names from!). Every morning he brings them all downstairs in a big basket and spends hours playing with them and talking to them. Several have gotten dirty lately and when I inquired, I discovered that he's been feeding his pets and giving them drinks of his breakfast milk! He is quite conviced that his pets are very real. He even named a little fluffy Golden Retreiver after himself... "little Sam". :)
