Busy Busy Busy

The last few weeks have been fun, but crazy busy. I can't believe it's already mid-July! The summer is flying by and I don't feel like I've relaxed much yet, but I'm knocking things off my to-do list like it's nobody's business! Hopefully, I'll be able to relax a bit more during the next few weeks. So, here's what we've been up to lately...
Spending lots of time together with my boys! I love spending the whole summer with them!

Sam LOVES to swim...everyday! He fills up the pool himself and has hours of fun with the water hose. I'm scared to see our water bill this month!

Carter LOVES the water too! He entertains himself by climbing in and out of the pool retrieving toys that he throws all over the deck. I don't get it, but it sure keeps him busy!

On June 24, my Grandma and Grandpa Frego celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! This side by side picture was in the newspaper...I just love their wedding picture. They are a beautiful couple, both inside and out.

Aren't they the cutest?! This picture was taken in my parents backyard. Our family all got together and grilled out in the backyard and had a potluck of food with a delicious cake to celebrate this special occasion. It was a fun afternoon, especially since my Uncle Mark, Aunt Patty and cousins Chris and Matt were able to attend!

Here's grandma trying out the new rocker glider we all bought them for their anniversary present.

Gramps trying out the new chair.

Sam & Mya with Grandma and Grandpa

Sam and Mya had fun together running through Mya's crazy sprinkler!

I decided to touch up/repaint the kitchen. The red color is the same, but I had to do a lot of mudding and sanding to fix up the walls. I changed the bottom half of the wall to a darker color. The wall on the right is the old color and the wall on the left shows the new color.

Finished!....sort of. I actually still have to give the red ANOTHER coat! Note to self: NEVER paint a room red ever again! Also, we are getting new trim and chair rail, so I'm waiting on that and then I'll still have to prime and paint that white. Ug. Oh, and check out our new table! I saved my pennies and bought it with money I made from selling junk on Craigslist!

We had a camp out in the backyard on the 4th of July weekend! Sam thought it was a riot! I however decided that sleeping on an air mattress when my own plush pillow top bed is only feet away, was not worth it. At around 2:30 a.m. I caved in and crawled back to the comfort of my own bed and left the boys to sleep the night away surrounded by our neighbors lighting off fireworks at all hours of the night!

Chillin' in the tent.

Sparklers at night

Sam and mom roasting marshmallows. Yum! Daddy doesn't know what he's missing!

Grandma Judy and Grandpa Ron took Sam to Kollen's Park on the night of the fireworks. The park was set up with all kinds of cool activities and Sam had a blast on the inflatable slides. Brian and I didn't make it to the fireworks, but instead had some good friends over for a cookout and had a fire out on the back deck.

Eating cotton candy before the fireworks.

Sam spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's and the next day we met them at the Community Day in Graafschap where they had a car show, petting zoo, BBQ and pony rides. Sam spent a least an hour in the petting zoo! He's such an animal lover!

Grandma, Sam, Carter and me on the "pony ride". Whee..

Sam has been spending hours on his new tramp! He has a new friend from the neighborhood named Austin and they love to put the sprinkler under the tramp and bounce for hours. Sam especially loves it when one of us (Brian or myself) ventures out to bounce him. When daddy does it (as pictured here) there is lots of giggling and screaming that occurs!

I had a garage sale! My friend Cory and I cleaned out our closets and the driveway was chucked full of our junk. The sale went from Thurs.-Sat. and we both made mucho dinero! I forgot to take pics except one table of my baby clothes. Yup, this chica is DONE having babies! Very bittersweet, but the extra cash in my pocket and all the extra room in my storage area (now that most of the big baby items are gone) is helping to me to quickly get used to the idea!
Sam had a blast hanging out with Cory's two cuties Samantha (Sam #2) and Brynn. Here they are all cuddled on the couch watching a movie.

Don't you just love the look on Sam's face! He's all upset because Samantha was driving his beloved Gator! What is it about men and having to drive?!! I guess it starts young!
